Director of Indigenous Cultural Affairs
Role Summary:
The Director of Development and Fundraising spearheads financial sustainability by strategizing and overseeing fundraising efforts, donor relationships, and revenue-generating opportunities aligned with T.A.I.N.O's vision and goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, including grants, individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, foundations, and grant-making institutions.

Collaborate with the Treasurer on budgeting, reporting, and financial forecasting related to fundraising activities.

Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
Director of Youth Initiatives
Role Summary:
The Director of Education and Youth Initiatives focuses on empowering Indigenous youth and promoting cultural education through tailored programming, partnerships, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop culturally relevant educational programs and resources targeted toward youth

. Establish collaborations with schools, educational institutions, and community organizations. Organize youth-centered workshops, mentorship programs, and leadership development opportunities.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program, and continuously seek improvement.
Director of Tribal Relations
Role Summary:
The Director of Government and Tribal Relations is responsible for managing relationships with government bodies, tribal entities, and policymakers to advocate for recognition, policy advancement, and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead advocacy efforts for tribal recognition and Indigenous rights at local, state, and federal levels. Develop strategies to influence policy decisions impacting Taino communities and Indigenous groups.

Build and maintain strategic partnerships with tribal governments, political leaders, and governmental agencies. Represent T.A.I.N.O. in legislative sessions, policy meetings, and stakeholder consultations.
Director of Strategic Partnership & Alliances
Role Summary:
The Director of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances identifies, establishes, and nurtures external partnerships that amplify T.A.I.N.O.’s mission, increase community impact, and broaden access to resources.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop strategic alliance frameworks and partnership models beneficial to organizational growth. Engage corporate, nonprofit, and academic institutions to leverage resources, expertise, and advocacy networks.

Negotiate and manage agreements and memoranda of understanding with partner organizations.

Regularly assess and optimize partnership effectiveness and alignment with T.A.I.N.O’s strategic priorities.
Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer
Role Summary:
The Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer ensures organizational compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, transparency, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and oversee the organization's compliance policies, procedures, and ethics guidelines.

Monitor legal and regulatory developments and ensure alignment with nonprofit laws and Indigenous rights regulations.

Provide compliance training to board members, staff, and volunteers. Conduct internal audits and respond to compliance-related concerns and issues proactively.

Director of Technology & Innovation
Role Summary:
The Director of Technology and Innovation strategically leverages technology to enhance operational efficiency, community engagement, and mission delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage technology infrastructure, including data management systems, websites, and digital platforms.
• Lead initiatives for technological innovation that enhance cultural preservation and educational accessibility (e.g., virtual events, interactive media).
• Ensure cybersecurity protocols and data privacy compliance.
• Advise leadership on new technology trends relevant to nonprofit effectiveness and outreach.
Community Programs Director
Role Summary:
This role is uniquely aligned to T.A.I.N.O's mission and focuses on guiding the cultural direction, educational programming, and community-based initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and review programs related to Taino history, language, and identity.
• Serve as the cultural liaison between the board and Taino communities.
• Oversee community engagement strategies and outreach events.
• Ensure that all projects and messaging align with Indigenous values and empowerment goals.
